Jim and Shari have been married 35 years and have created a family that includes our three biological sons, David, John and Ben, and multiple bonus family members. JW came from Haiti in 2017. Marilyn is a dear friend and single mom who adopted two children Sean and Sara, and many others refer to us as Momma Shari and Papa Jim. We strive to live every day Loving God and Loving People, and recognize God’s call in our lives to care for the orphan and the widow.
Believing God orchestrates our steps and has a plan and a purpose for our lives, we made the decision to become members of LifeSurge and start a family business in residential redevelopment. It is our hearts desire to assist individuals and families that God brings to us, acquire clean, safe and affordable housing. Jeremiah 29:11
Once our family business is established, our dream is to open a non-profit residential, transition home and program for men and women coming out of rehab.
Having experienced the pain of addiction first hand within our family, we recognize there are many gaps within the re-entry process. These gaps significantly decrease the likelihood of success for these individuals striving to live soberly and returning back to their families and communities as productive members in society.
Our hearts desire is that God will use us to make a Kingdom Impact in the lives of our family members, those seeking solutions to their housing needs and individuals struggling to live soberly following their rehabilitation journey.
Shari Farrell
President
Shari is a devoted wife, mother, and dedicated professional with a deep passion for serving others. Known for her compassion and commitment, she brings a wealth of life experience and a heart for caring for people in every area of her life. Shari is especially passionate about supporting children and adults with disabilities and plays a central role in caring for her large family, which includes five adults with varying disabilities.
Professionally, Shari works as a behavior specialist supporting children diagnosed with autism and serves as a Community Living Support professional for adults with disabilities. She is also actively involved in her community as a high school volleyball referee, a Special Olympics volunteer coach, and the leader of an all-abilities worship team at her church.
Shari believes God has called her to lead this company with purpose, professionalism and faith, striving to make a meaningful Kingdom impact in the lives of the people they have the privilege to serve.
David Farrell
Vice President
David brings an energetic, entrepreneurial spirit to everything he pursues. He has developed a diverse professional background that includes building and carpentry in commercial and marine construction, work as a diesel technician, and experience in both sales and nonprofit fundraising. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through beach volleyball and golf.
David is especially passionate about supporting individuals who are struggling with addiction or transitioning out of rehabilitation programs. Having personally experienced the challenges of addiction, he understands the gaps in resources that many people face after completing rehab—gaps that often contribute to relapse. He believes that with the right support systems and programs in place, many of these relapses can be prevented.
Grateful for his own recovery journey, David credits his transformation to his faith in Jesus and the grace that sustained him through difficult seasons. He is excited to be part of this new business venture and looks forward to helping and serving many people through it.
Jim Farrell
Investor / Life Coach
Jim is the head of the Farrell family and a strong supporter of Shari and David as they launch this new business venture. He has built a distinguished career as a professional coach and supervisor at Cornerstone University, where he has spent many years mentoring and guiding others.
Outside of his professional life, Jim is an avid collector of books and sports cards and enjoys thrifting and traveling. He especially values time spent with his sons, whether on the golf course or watching sports together. Jim is excited to be part of the family’s new business venture and looks forward to helping others navigate their real estate needs with care and dedication. ⚾📚⛳
